Water park equipment material——the difference between the fiberglass slide and inflatable slide

Water park slide is one of the most popular water park equipment . The slides produced by the manufacturer have two kinds of material, one is fiberglass slides and the other is the inflatable slide. Customers often ask about the difference between the two slides, so we thoroughly analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these two kinds of materials slide. And help removing the confusion of customers who want to invest in water park equipment and avoiding unnecessary waste of materials.

First, from the difference of material itself. Fiberglass water slide is mainly made of resin, gel coat glue and other chemical materials, which are expensive ! Inflatable slides are made of cheap PVC and the cost are cheap !

Second, from the difference of appearance. The level of fiberglass slide is obviously higher than the inflatable slide, especially the inflatable slide needs to repair after using a period of time and looks ugly.

Third, from the difference of contact experiences. Fiberglass water slides are bright in color and the surface is smooth. The resistance between the body and the slide is minimal after the dip and the speed of sliding is unimpeded. The surface of inflatable slides are rough because of itself material PVC, and the surface resistance is large when sliding, so the tactile sensation is poor.

Fourth, from the difference of slide trajectory. The height of fiberglass water slide can be adjusted freely according to the field site and the investor’s preferences. And it could be adjusted to left or right spiral slide, or the slide which could slide alternately and freely. The inflatable slide can only do straight down slide, which is the biggest difference with the custom made slide of fiberglass – monotonous slide for inflatable !

Fifth, from the difference of service life. The service life of fiberglass slide is generally about 10 years and it can be used for a long time after proper maintenance. The inflatable slide is easy to break and leak because of the repeated friction between the contact surface and the ground. It often takes time to repair and it is easier to cause aging in outdoor exposure.

Sixth, from the difference of installation. Because the fiberglass slide itself is heavy, so it needs to the steel reinforced concrete foundation to support the installation of steel column, which is durable and not afraid of wind and rain. The inflatable slides temporarily hit several piers and fix with clues which shakes badly when encountering strong wind.

The above six points basically cover the differences between the two materials. Of course, choosing what kind of material also depends on the investors themselves, if from long-term perspective of the investment, each has advantages.
